Customer Reviews

I bought this mouse aware of the risk of buying something nobody else had reviewed. So as the first reviewer, I'll try to be as clear as I can.
First, the bad things:
The plastic feels really cheap. I've always bought Logitech mice and the difference between materials is astronomical. My first impression was that it is made from the same material as those chinese knock-off toys. When you click you can feel the cheapness I'm talking about.
The optical tracking thing of the mouse is one of the worst I've seen. First, the slot at the bottom is bigger than a regular mouse, which usually would make a mouse better, because it makes it more sensitive. Well, the problem here is that it is really weak. In my regular desk, which is painted in black, the mouse does not work. At all. I tried it in another desk, in wood-like finish, and it works OK. So the current solution for this is using a white piece of paper underneath. Second, the red light is annoying. Because the light feels stronger, and the plastic is cheap, you can see the light at the top. I usually work late at night, and it's not even 7 pm and the light is already bothering me. So every time I move the mouse this bright light comes from my hand.
The DPI button is horrendously misplaced. It is just under the scroll wheel. Yes, being able to change the DPI from 800 to 1600 is great, but not accidentally.
To finish the "Bad" section, the transmitter is awful. And I mean awful in the way that I don't even want to stick it in my computer. At least it has "ridges" to make it easy to pull out.
Now, the good things:
Overall, the design is nice. But, of course, I can't give them too much credit for that, since it was copied from the apple mouse. The only things that make both mice different are the transmitter (which is awful) and the buttons at the top (which, as I already said, one of them is incredibly out of place). Under the battery cover there is a slot for the transmitter.
The really positive thing about this mouse is the scroll wheel. It is really comfortable.
The not-yet-analyzed things:
I can not tell you about battery life since I received the mouse today. All I can say is that it uses 2 AAA batteries.I probably won't be able to comment on the battery life anytime soon, because I'm returning the mouse first thing tomorrow morning.
Overall: I give the mouse 2 stars. I was going to give it 1, but the scroll wheel made me change my mind.
Update: I forgot to say the mouse comes with a free cable tie. (I'm still returning it.)

I will start by saying that I was skeptical about the quality of this mouse, but I figured since it was only $10.00 and was prime eligible it would be worth the chance. I purchased this to replace my wired Mac mouse because the scroll ball stopped working in only the downward direction.
Don't get me wrong, this is no Apple Magic mouse but for $10 it is top notch. The plastic on the bottom and the battery door feel a bit "cheap", but the rest of the mouse feels well made. I particularly like the scroll wheel because it has a nice amount of tension to it. There is also a nice hiding spot for the receiver inside the battery compartment.
I am running Snow Leopard on a 20" iMac and when I plugged it the micro USB receiver that came with it, presto! The mouse came to life and was working immediately! No drivers to install, no settings to configure, it just started working,
If you are super picky about quality, click button pressure or scroll wheel tension don't bother with this mouse. If you want a nice mouse that works great for an awesome price, this one is for you!
